The Special Olympics Volunteer Management Software comes with a basic training set that can be modified to meet your Program’s needs. Applicants can begin the orientation and training process once their application is submitted and log out at any time. Their progress will be saved until they log back in to complete their orientation and training.
The software also allows Admins to:
- Log courses for volunteers and applicants that were completed outside of the VMS.
- Create courses, including video slides, image slides with or without audio, and test question slides.
- Manage whether a training course is required or optional.
- Set the required timeframe for how often a volunteer needs to renew their training.
- Export a report of which volunteers have completed each training course.
On the Volunteer Management System dashboard, Admins can see any Class A volunteer who has passed their background check but have not completed their training.
The systems also automatically emails existing Class A Volunteers a reminder when it is time for their refresher training.
